Governor’s Impact Award Winners 2014

Export Impact Award- UMF Medical
Governor Tom Corbett recognized UMF Medical, manufacturer of exam room equipment , Johnstown, PA amongst the 50 outstanding Pennsylvania companies and entrepreneurs for creating jobs, developing ideas, reaching new markets and making positive contributions in local communities at the 2014 Governor's ImPAct Awards.  "We are truly honored to have received the Governor's ImPAct Award for export growth," said Eileen Melvin, President and CEO of UMF Medical.  "Our growth in international markets has been good for jobs at home in Pennsylvania."  With a strategic focus on export sales, UMF Medical has grown sales 300% in some countries. "The State's programs have helped us to grow - with a positive jobs impact in our community," said Melvin.

Jobs First Impact Award - Curry Supply Co.
Governor Tom Corbett  presented Curry Supply Company the 2014 Governor's ImPAct Award for consistently creating and retaining jobs over the past two years. Mark Ritchey, Curry Supply Principal Partner, accepted the award. "We are extremely proud to receive this award," said Jason Ritchey, Curry Supply President. "Our dedicated and hard-working employees are a key ingredient to our growth over the past 80 years. We have hired, and retained, 193 employees in the past two years alone. To be recognized in this way is a huge honor."   
Curry Supply Company is a family-owned business that was established in 1932.  Over the past 80 years, Curry Supply has grown into one of America's largest manufacturers and dealers of commercial service vehicles including mechanics trucks, service trucks, vacuum trucks, winch trucks, rig vacs, and lube skids, as well as fuel/lube trucks and water trucks for both on-road and off-road needs.  Their primary markets include Construction, Oil & Gas, Mining, Waste, and Rental. Curry Supply delivers internationally, with sales and service provided throughout the United States.
